Attorneys Win Defense Verdict for City of Oceanside in Retaliation/Whistleblower Trial in San Diego Superior Court

San Diego, California – September 15, 2014.  Carlsbad attorneys Neal S. Meyers and Golnar Fozi successfully defended the City of Oceanside in a lawsuit filed by an Oceanside police officer against the City, in which the officer alleged he was disciplined in retaliation for lodging a racial discrimination complaint, and was not selected for requested transfers due to retaliation for whistleblowing and for filing the lawsuit.   Plaintiff was represented at trial by Daniel Gilleon and James Mitchell of The Gilleon Law Firm and attorney Charles Moore. The case took four weeks to try, from jury selection to verdict, and entailed more than 15 percipient and expert witnesses. After one day of deliberation, the jury returned a complete defense verdict for the City of Oceanside.
